FTC Equation

Field applications of Sandell’s FTC include museums, high school classrooms and universities as well as other learning sites for diverse audiences.

  1. FTC at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art  Since the museum opened on 11-11-11, Crystal Bridges has used FTC in multiple ways to guide its art research, training, and curriculum development for both inside art gallery viewing and outside trail exploration of art and nature.  See the Crystal Bridges FTC Gallery Layout and FTC Trail Layout.  More information to come…

Brian Reverman’s Teaching, International School of Beijing in China  Brian Reverman uses this FTC Research Guide in his high school IB art program to guide decoding and encoding art.   Brian has recently been working on an electronic version of the FTC template and is field testing it with students and getting feedback from art teachers around the Asian region.
